Publications
The IDSC has been keen to diversify its publications by releasing social and economic studies as well as informational reports seeking to serve both decision-makers and the community at large. These reports provide integrated data and information in a simple manner and within a framework of transparency and objectivity that could be easily perceived by all segments of the society.
   Working Papers (95)
This is aperiodic series, which is issued in both English and Arabic by the IDSC research staff. The series aims to engage researchers into constructive dialogue with decision-makers on future outlook of development. The series, which is the oldest and the richest among IDSC's publications, gives analysis of developmental issues of high priorities in Egypt and reviews leading international practices in the course of achieving economic and social development with possibility of application to the Egyptian case.

   Future Issues (12)
It is a quarterly series, which issues since August 2006, by the Future Studies Center, an affiliate to the Information and Decision Support Center. It aims to foresight the future of some hot issues by conducting current situation analysis and by providing future scenarios for their developments as well as suggesting suitable solutions and policies to address such issues.

   White Papers (1)
This is aperiodic series, which is issued in Arabic, and serves as a guide for addressing a given issue or a problem. It guides the readers ' decision-makers' to the suitable solutions rather than focusing on reviewing the problem itself. This type of papers review the issue under research in general then provide solutions scenarios along with their advantages and disadvantages per each scenario. In addition, they provide the most important challenges and mechanisms methods that should be taken into considerations as well as the expected return and repercussions upon application of the proposed solutions.

   Position Reports (19)
It is aperiodic series, which is issued in Arabic, with the aim of interpreting and analyzing the current situation of a certain issue or of an inquiry that occurs within IDSC's concerns. Thus, this would lead to more understanding of the issue and would enable discussions of its different aspects. The papers review major features of the current situation by providing sufficient information about its different facets and give interpretation for that in addition to major findings and recommendations.

   Books (6)
The IDSC publishes some of its research works in books, which address development current situation in Egypt in general or review the IDSC's efforts made to deal with a certain development issue.

   Policy Brief (7)
This is aperiodic brief paper, which aims to inform decision makers about different dimensions of a certain issue with a reference to some suggested solutions.

   Periodicals (1)
Regular non-research reports issued by the Center for Information and Decision Support.
